We're here!

We have been official Indianapolisans for a week now! While moves are NEVER fun or easy, we are so thankful that everything went as smoothly as we could have possibly hoped for. Through a mutual friend, we connected with a guy here who offered to bring two of his friends to help us unload the truck when we arrived! We had never even met these guys before, yet they happily volunteered to heave around our boxes in 90 degree heat! Definitely the body of Christ in action to us.

We are now quickly getting settled into our new little house. Our days have been very full and exhausting, but really rewarding. Both Brian's dad and my mom graciously made the trip with us and stayed for several days. They're gone now, but we made so much progress with their help. So far we've painted 3 bedrooms and a closet, completely made over the garage, cleaned like crazy and unpacked a jillion boxes.

Our location and the house itself could not be more perfect. We feel truly, truly blessed. We are surrounded by great neighbors, tons of dogs for Stryder to play with, and right down the street from a community park with walking trails, an offleash dog park and a swimming pool. I'll post more pictures as we continue to get unpacked, but just wanted to give a quick update to let y'all know that we are finally here. Brian's first day of school is next Monday, so I'll definitely keep you posted on that.

The ortho journey has officially begun! :) Praise the Lord!

EM! Congrats! I know you are SO glad to have this process started - your house looks adorable. I can't wait to hear more details about school and the neighborhood. You should see if they have any sort of "wives club" like we have here in b'ham.

Can't wait to see what you do to the house, Em. Please post pics of the inside. You have the greatest sense of style and I'd love a peek when you're finished getting it all set up. :)
